If you have taken out a loan before the 4th of April 2007 then there is a high possibility that your loan agreement is unenforceable.
All Regulated Credit Agreements must comply with 14 points of legislation under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (CCA 1974), however, an estimated 80% of agreements have breached at least 1 point, therefore making the agreement illegal and unenforceable.
The types of loan agreements eligible to be audited include:
- Unsecured Personal Loans
- Consolidation Loans
- Car Loans / Finance Agreements
- Secured Loans
- Hire Purchase
